Restless

Construction interruptus

If it was up to me, this building (the Cooper Square Hotel, where Third Ave. fades into Bowery) would be complete as-is.

Let the top floors return to nature, to the birds, snakes falling from the sky, and intrepid hang-gliding homesteaders.  For once, leave a huge new building half-naked, so us peasants have something interesting to look at as we scurry through the frigid shadows thrown by block after block of spaceship-slick buildings put up to house global luxuratti.

And speaking of spaceships, what are those huge organic shapes behind the windows in this closeup?  Some vagrant life forms from a distant galaxy who heard, decades late, that the Bowery is a good place to "flop?"
