Veiled scaffolding

Construction is taking forever on the Greenpoint site above left, so they dressed it up with a bright blue veil, nicely offset by the tree.

I saw the green veil above in Midtown.  It's a real feat to make light coming through green look good -- instead of sickly, as it does after a few bottles of what we used to call The Green Death.

The pink veil, seen in the Village, has that dangerous DIY look, and I'll bet the rose colored light inside gets old pretty quick, like the inside of a bottle of Pepto Bismol.

Speaking of green death and heartburn, have a Happy St. Patrick's Day, and remember that construction sites are best viewed from a distance.
